Chelsea Rousso’s Unity in the Community installation has returned to WMODA for our reopening. Chelsea has been busy during the last year developing her exciting public art project. Since September, she has been exhibiting at Plunge Beach Resort and has recently unveiled a spectacular new wall of glass in the city of Tamarac.
Unity in the Community at WMODA
One hundred participants from various backgrounds gathered at the Tamarac Community Center where they were introduced to the art of glass fusing by Chelsea. Each individual created a unique glass piece representing their interpretation of unity. Together, they symbolize the collective strength and beauty of the city’s community.

WMODA is proud to feature Chelsea’s first Unity in the Community installation at the entrance to the museum. Chelsea’s original public art project involved creative glass workshops at several venues including WMODA. As in Tamarac, the collaborative artwork demonstrates the importance of working together to create a community and celebrate diverse individual voices.
