Every year at Christmas time, Luis Montanez, the museum’s Maintenance and Logistics Manager, organizes a toy drive for disadvantaged children in our community. This year, the WMODA team of staff and volunteers donated and collected a mountain of gifts from family and friends. Thank you Luis for celebrating the art of giving and bringing such joy to the holiday season.
Throughout the year, Luis also fills backpacks with essential toiletries for the homeless, spearheads food drives and organizes clothing drives which are particularly important when the winter temperatures drop in Florida. This year, Luis worked in collaboration with Work2 Live, Steady Revival Ministries and Hernandez Bully Yard, who helped him distribute the toys and backpacks.
