Families and kids of all ages had lots of fun at our Sensational Saturday program All the Fun of the Fair on October 12. Many came in costume and entered the spirit of the occasion – Halloween came early to WMODA! Linda Roberts as the Balloon Lady was kept busy handing out balloons and Lloyd Goradesky organized photo opportunities with our new carousel horse. Lloyd also talked about his interactive art project Let Love Guide Your Way.
Chelsea Rousso introduced her creative glass workshops at WMODA and modeled one of her beautiful wearable glass masks. Chelsea’s first class of the season is on Friday, October 18.
Dr. Pat Sager Lane was in her element in Fantasyland and talked to visitors about the magical art of Josephine Wall. Several fairies flitted around and welcomed guests including Kathryn Crawford and Carolina Bermudez.
Diane and Mauro Gennaretti brought their Italianissimo jewelry pop-up shop and Diane couldn’t resist having a go on the carousel horse.
Kimberly Sheridan, aka the Butterfly Lady, took visitors on docent tours of the collection and Louise Irvine, as the Wicked Witch of WMODA, held her audience spellbound with tales of the darkly magical world of Fairyland Lustre.
Thank you to all the staff and volunteers, who helped to make the event such fun.
