The magic of mask making was experienced at the WMODA Workshop held in the Hot Glass gallery on March 23rd. Laurence Panadero took her students through the process of molding, firing and hand-painting ceramic masks inspired by our Carnival & Cabaret exhibition.
The budding artists used metallic paints, crystals and even peacock feathers to adorn their miniature ceramic masks and some added loops to create pendants. Most guests made several masks and some also had time to experiment with floral bouquets and female figures modeled in clay. Great fun was had by all.
