Louise being interviewed for Art Loft
Thank you to the PBS South Florida team who filmed at the new Hollywood WMODA for their Emmy award-winning Art Loft program. Art Loft is a weekly 30-minute art program showcasing local artists, exhibitions, performances and arts organizations in South Florida. We are thrilled to receive this recognition from PBS as we relaunch WMODA and look forward to watching the Art Loft show in January.

We are interested to see what makes the cut in the edited Art Loft program as the PBS team spent over three hours filming for an eight-minute segment! They were enthralled by the museum displays and wanted to capture as much as possible on camera for future use. Louise Irvine, our Executive Director and Curator was interviewed by Melissa Harmon, the Principal Director of Content for PBS. Filming was by Osmani, assisted by Lisa Kusanagi, who are both dancers and choreographers as well as filmmakers.

A special thank you to Sandy Baker, Managing Director of Development for PBS South Florida, who is a great supporter of WMODA. At the former museum in 2018, Sandy organized an afternoon tea and preview screening of Victoria, the Masterpiece production, and we plan to create more spectacular PBS South Florida events at our new Hollywood location. Watch for screening details of the Art Loft show in the WMODA newsletter and future PBS events.
