The WMODA Treasure Hunt

Saturday, June 5
10 am - 4 pm

Explore the treasure trove of fired arts at WMODA.

At our popular Treasure or Trash? event, you can find out if your prized porcelain or glass art is valuable museum quality from Linda Saft ISA AM, an accredited appraiser of decorative arts. Linda will give you a verbal approximation of value and there is a maximum of three items per person.

Have your diamond jewelry evaluated by Michael Rousso, an expert broker with over 30 years of experience in these rare treasures from the earth.

Watch master craftsman, Alex Meiklejohn, throw miniature ceramics on the potter’s wheel and have fun hunting for his mini works of art in our new Tiny Treasures Trail around the museum.

You will be amazed at how trash can be turned into treasure in the hands of artist, Betsy Alexis, who recycles discarded materials into whimsical jewelry.

Mauro and Diana Gennaretti from Italianissimo will have their latest collection of Murano glass treasures for sale.

Celebrate World Ocean Day and catch up on the latest news from Trash Pirates and the 1000 Mermaids Project. Hear about the exciting coral reef conservation project coming to Dania Beach this summer.

You might find a literary treasure at our inaugural sale of second-hand books which will range from weighty tomes of scholarly research to popular collectors’ reference books.

Dive into WMODA to see exhibitions of fired arts inspired by marine life and the Earth • Air • Fire • Water exhibit celebrating the beauty of nature.

See how the saying “One man’s trash is another man’s treasure” rings true at WMODA Treasure Hunt.
